Description
This shawl features a dramatic chained loop cast on and bind off. When completed, the length of the chain not only twists naturally but also provides for a festive “fringed” edge along two sides of the triangle. Other design elements include a slip-stitch hypotenuse and easy to remember honeycomb stitch pattern. The shawl is constructed using short rows that simultaneously work off the cast-on stitches and increase the triangle size. Using a large needle, the combined result is a relatively fast knit with a mesh-like airy drape.
Dimension (after blocking and including fringe): approximately 29″ at center and 58″ tip to tip.
