Dry Creek Shawl
PDF download for Dry Creek Shawl knit pattern.
The geometric components of this shawl are constructed with a multi-directional technique. Two triangles of perpendicular garter ridges flank an eyelet center section reminiscent of a rocky creek bed. This project includes a knitted cast on, short rows, double yarn-overs, make-one increases, a ssk bind off, and a single crochet finishing edge. It is knit in one piece with no picked-up stitches. Although the shawl in the photo uses the same yarn throughout the project, the design affords the opportunity to experiment with different colors for each of the three sections.
Dimension (after blocking): approximately 65″ long and 28″ at center back.
Yarn: approximately 580 yards worsted weight.
