Double Decrease Washcloth
$2.50
PDF download for Double Decease Washcloth knit pattern.
Description
This garter fabric washcloth appears to be two triangles. However, to form the square, stitches are decreased in the middle, starting from the cast-on stitches and that will form two sides of the square to the last double decrease at the opposite corner. This forms a straight match line from corner to corner. Once the pattern is established, alternating between decrease and even rows is easily remembered. Slip stitches are added to mimic the “chained” appearance of the cast-on. Play with color by adding a contrasting stripe or use self-striping cotton yarn.
Dimension: approximately 9.25″ square.
Yarn: approximately 108 yards of sport weight linen, cotton, or linen/cotton blend.
